Fees
All fees are in accordance with recommended fee structures from AustralianPsychological Society, Medicare and other agencies. Fees may attract rebatesfrom Medicare and private health funds, depending on the type of referral. Feesare payable at the time of service.
Consultation fees are currently as follows:
- $236 per 60 minute initial consultation ($107.60 gap with $128.40 Medicare rebate if you have a GP Mental Health Care Plan or referral from a Psychiatrist).
- $206 per subsequent consultation ($77.60 gap with $128.40 Medicare rebate if you have a GP Mental Health Care Plan or referral from a Psychiatrist).
- $106 non-attendance fee if less than 24 hours notice given of cancellation
Due to the current Covid-19 outbreak, our current consultations are offered inface-to-face, telehealth/online or via phone, however this is reviewed on aregular basis.

Under some circumstances concessional fees may be negotiated. Please discuss this with your psychologist at your initial appointment.
All fees are payable at the time of your appointment. We have EFTPOS and Hicaps available for processing payments. Medicare rebate claims can also be processed by us at the time of your appointment.
Rebates
Medicare Rebates
A referral to a Psychologist from your GP (also called a Mental Health Care Plan) allows you to claim a rebate of $126.50 for each session. Your GP will also write you a referral letter to give to your Psychologist with your Mental Health Care Plan. A referral letter from a Psychiatrist also allows you to claim a Medicare rebate of $126.50. You can claim a Medicare rebate for 10 sessions per calendar year. Bring your Medicare card with you to your appointment and we can process your Medicare rebates on the spot.
NB: Rebates are processed after the full fee has been paid
Telehealth Rebates for Rural and Remote Areas
Medicare rebates are now also available for sessions via videoconference (such as Skype or Zoom), for people living in eligible remote or rural areas. The fees for these sessions are the same as those for face to face sessions. Please discuss your eligibility for videoconference sessions with us when booking your appointment.
Private Health Fund
If you are a member of a private health fund with Extras you may be eligible for rebates for psychological therapy. Call your fund to check your eligibility. Bring your health fund card and we can process your rebate at the time of your appointment.
